Via Ferrata
We know we are a very old and experienced climbing sports club and via ferrata is something that doesn't necessarily employ sport but we had many reasons behind our decision to build and many times finance 7 via ferratas in our area (5 in Șuncuiuș financed with money coming from your donations and 2 in Vadu Crișului, in collaboration with Salvamont Bihor, financed from public money).
One of the main reasons was that via ferratas are very popular with a lot of people in Romania and this way we can finance our sports activities (climbing, expeditions, or maintenance/building or rebuilding climbing routes in the Carpathian Mountains, Pădurea Craiului Mountains - Crișul Repede Gorge).
The other reason was that you can show regular people how climbing feels like, how you can be friends with the rock and the mountains. More details in our blog post about via ferrata and climbing with Vlad and Slagi.
